Medical City was the first certified Chest Pain Center and Primary Stroke Center in the county and is a top performer in care related to heart attack and heart failure. As one part of the Mid-Cities region, along with Dalles and Fort Worth, Arlington is located west of Dallas. The University of Texas at Arlington, a major research university, calls Arlington home and adds to the college-town feel. A number of professional sports teams are hosted in Arlington, including the Dallas Wings, the International Bowling Campus, and the Dallas Cowboys. Six Flags Over Texas and Hurricane Harbor provide fun for kids and adults of all ages, and the city has numerous theaters, retail shopping outlets, museums.
